A shout out to BlueOregon... one of the better state blogs in the country. I ran across this rather convincing thought on how vote by mail is not always necessarily a good thing.

Many Oregonians would be shocked to know how many voters will vote at their county board of elections. The Help America Vote Act's provisional ballot mandate will probably mean more voters in Oregon will vote in the more traditional "let's wait in a line" manner. Oregon in a very real sense has polling places all over the state, depsite the vote by mail law.
